Youbet.com announce staff changes

Youbet.com have announced changes to their ranks- Victor Gallo is to move to being General Manager for the Las Vegas branch of the company. The move comes after legislation changes now allowing the operation of ADW’s (advanced deposit wagering companies) within the state. A main part of Gallo’s responsibilities in this new role will be to develop new business opportunities within Las Vegas.

Gallo previously held a position on the General Counsel, and will be replaced by Scott Solomon. Solomon is joining from Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, an investment banking firm where he held the position of Senior Vice President. It is Solomon’s extensive experience of mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate legal affairs, which has informed the move to Youbet.

CEO, Charles F Champion released the following statement explaining the personnel movements: 'We've dispatched Vic Gallo to Las Vegas because he understands the nuances of Nevada gaming and the intricacies of ADW. No one in our company is better qualified to lead us through the complexities of doing business in Nevada. In Scott Solomon, we believe we have found a General Counsel who will ably assume Vic's corporate legal responsibilities. At the same time, Scott brings us a valuable international dimension that we will tap as we explore opportunities and develop strategic partnerships for revenue growth with companies in Europe, Asia and other international jurisdictions.'
