ChecknRaisePoker.com launch a new online competition

ChecknRaisePoker.com are launching a new competition, called “Quarter-of-a-Million-Dollar Competition for Gold, Glory & Sweet, Sweet Cash”. The competition is the first in what is intended to be an annual event for the site. In one month a US$250,000 pool of cash and prizes will be awarded to winning players entering the competition through the site.
These first rounds are being termed as qualifiers- as successful players will then move on to a more advanced tournament. This part of the competition is called the “Champions No-Limit Hold ‘Em Free-roll Tournament, and the leading 30 players in each online session held will advance on to this round. This will mean a maximum of 480 players are then competing with a prize pool worth US$100,000.
The prizes up for grabs include cruises, holidays and gold bracelets. Another possible reward to be won is entry into next year’s World Series of Poker tournament to be held in Las Vegas. Check n Raise emphasise that the competition is open to players of all levels, providing as it does not only allow the opportunity to win cash or prizes, but an opportunity for players to improve their game in a free to enter tournament. The competition starts in September, and registration for the competition is being accepted already.
