US Supreme Court throws out anti-gambling case

The 2001 law, which allowed for the expansion of gambling in New York, riled anti-gambling groups, but was brought in to help generate revenue in the state in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks.

The decision by the Supreme Court should mark the end for the law suit thus ending all barriers to Indian gaming tribes opening casinos in the state.

The court made no comment.
