Trump plans extension of Taj Mahal
Trump’s company submitted plans on Tuesday for a 45 story addition to the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, accommodating 800 rooms and serving as the centre piece for the hotel casinos revival.
The new tower will make the Taj Mahal the tallest building in Atlantic City, outdoing the Borgata by a convenient 6 feet. And screaming out from the top of the tower, in gigantic glowing letters, will be the name Trump, for all to see.
If, as is expected, the project gets the go ahead from the regulatory authorities, it is estimated to cost around $250 million and be ready by the summer of 2008.
