Sheffield Council makes case for super-casino
The council's chief executive Sir Bob Kerslake said that Sheffield would be the ideal location to pilot a super-casino, and told the panel that the casino would immediately create 1500 jobs in an area in need of regeneration. He went on to add that the long-term impact would be far greater with the possibility of over 14,000 jobs over 20 years. In the same period he said the casino would generate over £210 million in economic activity.
