Gibraltar-licensed online gaming firm Vernons.co.uk, which is owned by Sportech, could be about to make one lucky player very happy with a progressive slot jackpot of over two million dollars.

The site stated that the jackpot for its Clover Rollover slot game has reached $2.11 million due to a ten-fold increase in the number players over the past six months. The prize is now one of the world’s largest for an online slot machine after growing by $439,729 a month on average since April and by over $17,000 a day on several occasions.

"It seems that there's no limit to the size of jackpots that can be won on online slots,” said Martin Williams, eGaming Manager for Vernons.co.uk. "Having our Clover Rollover jackpot rise by up to 17,000 a day is simply staggering and demonstrates the growth of the online slot machine phenomenon across the UK."

To receive the top reward, punters must line up five shamrocks while Vernons.co.uk also revealed that the jackpot for another of its online slot titles, Cleopatra's Chest, has passed the $439,000 mark with total jackpots across its seven games of over $3.16 million and rising.
