Barriere Interactive Gaming, one of the largest online casino software developers is in the later stages of developing an online casino game for Playstation and Xbox. The new game will allow players to access the online casino through the gaming console and play on their TV rather than on their computer. The game, not to be mistaken, is not a gambling game; it is simply a module allowing players to access the casino through their gaming system. 

The new game, which will be available for sale in March 2009, will not take away from their online casino business. The casino will continue to operate as normal; the new game will simply give users the option of playing on their TV’s through their game console. There have been some delays due to the fact that Sony and Microsoft have not completely agreed to the new game and discussions continue with the two gaming giants.  

A major concern expressed by both Sony and Microsoft has been the notion that minors may be able to get their hands on the game and this raises both ethical and legal concerns. Furthermore, Sony and Microsoft are fretful about being held responsible for what may happen if indeed minors do play the game.      

However, their saving grace has been that most online casinos run through a thorough background check on the individuals using their casino. The background check includes ensuring the players are of age and able to legally deposited money and gamble at the casino. Despite this, both Sony and Microsoft are still skeptical about the new game. Only time will tell what happens with the new game, so be sure to check back often for updates!
