World renowned online casino PokerStars.com has announced they are taking their Caribbean Adventure tournament on the road. The tournament is scheduled to begin January 4th and will take place at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas.  

A spokesperson for the site revealed that the event will form part of PokerStars.com European Poker Tour despite taking place in the Americas. To accommodate European travellers, PokerStars.com has launched EPTHotels.com, a site solely dedicated to hotel booking discounts and services.  

Last year’s event attracted over 1000 competitors and prize money worth over $8.5 million. Tournament organizers expect those numbers to be even higher this time around. 

In addition to the Caribbean Adventure, PokerStars.com also announced a stop in Budapest, Hungary, bringing the total number of stops of the EPT to ten. The Budapest stop will be a $6,530 buy-in, four day No Limit Texas Hold’Em tournament at the prestigious Las Vegas Casino in the Sofitel Hotel.
