Online gamblers are being cautioned and warned to watch out for spam e-mails asking for personal information, including credit card numbers and addresses. It was recently revealed that a scheme by alleged casino King Dice Casino has been sending around e-mails attempting to recruit potential gamblers to their fraudulent website. The e-mails are asking for credit card info and players addresses.  

The alleged site was said to be connected to Club World, a well-known online casino group. However, last month, Casino Manager for Club World, Steve Morgan, released a statement warning patrons to ignore e-mails from King Dice Casino asking players to re-register with the new casino. Morgan warns customers that King Dice Casino has absolutely no affiliation with Club World, and this is a scam known as “phishing”, where spammers send out fake e-mails in the hopes of receiving useful identity information.  

Although the entire e-mail message was not available for print, some of it was retrieved in order to caution players to know what to look out for. The e-mail is poorly written, lacking proper grammar and syntax. “We respect all our clients and give them chance to make real money staying at home. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Whatever, you don’t loose anything! Just believe in your success and open the world of enormous money!” Online gamblers are advised to take note of the above message and delete and do not respond to e-mails which may contain this or a similar message. As the scheme receives more and more public attention, the spammers will try and change the message in the hopes of people not recognizing the new e-mail.  

Remember the old saying, if it’s good to be true, it probably is. The e-mail promises a sign up bonus of $3500. Although that is sometimes offered at online casinos, that is extremely high for a welcome bonus. So be cautious and always visit trustworthy and reputable online casinos.
