New London to Vegas airline planned

MAXjet Airways says it plans to launch a twice weekly non-stop service on its widebody Boeing 767-200’s, which typically seat 250 passengers but have been re-fitted to seat just 100.

All this adds up to high prices right? Well actually no. Fares are actually often 50 percent cheaper than on major airlines. According to CEO Gary Rogliano this is because its business model allows it to streamline operations just for business class customers.

At $1999 for a standard business class seat the fare represents significant savings compared to United Airlines quote of $5,351 (including two stops) of American Airlines $8900 (including a two hour layover).

Tickets go on sale on Friday.
