Disney’s recent acquisition of Marvel Comics recently shocked the online gambling world, worrying industry insiders about consequences this would have for the popular Marvel Slot games produced by Cryptologic. There was much speculation that Disney may want to distance themselves from more “adult” forms of entertainment like gambling, which could have cause these games to be pulled from online casinos. However, Marvel and Playtech have recently signed a deal, giving PlayTech licensees permission to offer the slots, which is certainly a good sign for the future of these games.

Golden Palace and Vegas Red will be the first two PlayTech casinos to offer Marvel slots. Two of the collection’s most popular games are expected to go live on these two sites by the end of this week: The New Incredible Hulk and Iron Man. The two games are their final testing stages and PlayTech officials are excited about their release.

“When the information was first told to us here at Playtech, the feeling was overwhelming,” said a PlayTech spokesperson. “Now its excitement, because we know the type of product we are offering to our players and they will be pleased!”

August was certainly a slow month for online casinos, but industry experts are predicting that this new development will bring an influx of customers into PlayTech casinos. Golden Casino and Vegas Red are already beginning to prepare for an increase in player registrations.
