Macao to generate unprecedented amount of gaming tax

The newspaper said that Tam Pak Yuen, the city’s Economic and Finance secretary had made the prediction. And given that the figure stood at $1.71 billion after just nine months of the year it is not to be taken lightly.

In 2004 Macau’s 17 casinos paid $1.84 billion in gaming taxes to the government.
