Italian regulators under fire from UK gambling companies
The law, passed by Italy’s ministry of Economy and finance, includes the threat of a fine for any internet service provider which allows access to non-Italian gaming sites.
This mean that no Italian citizens can gable on UK gaming websites, and UK gaming companies are so incensed they are threatening the Italian regulators with legal action if they do not reverse the decision.
The Remote Gambling Association (RGA), which represents the online gambling industry, has objected to the changes in the law, which they claim breaches EC rules in five categories.
