Harrah’s survey shows recreational gamblers are trendsetters
The survey showed that recreational gamblers are trendsetters and are often looked to by their friends and neighbours for advice on travel, technology and even home decorating! It also showed an increasing trend amongst recreational gamblers towards gambling within their own state – for the first time since the survey began.
The survey also showed that despite the phenomenal popularity of live poker the vast majority of recreational gamblers, over 70 percent of them, still prefer slot machines and video poker. Only 14 percent of those surveyed chose table games as their favourite, with blackjack the most popular, polling 9 percent of the vote, followed by roulette, craps and then live poker.
