Full Tilt Goes All Out With Launch of MiniFTOPS
Full Tilt Poker is ready to crank up the heat for the Autumn season with the return of its MiniFTOPS series.
Starting from Wednesday September 8th, the series features tournaments at 1/10 of the buy-in – but with thirty-four separate tournaments and over $6million in guaranteed prize money to be shared, the only thing “mini” about it is the name.
Angled by Full Tilt as a tournament for pros and newcomers alike, the satellites began on August 16th with buy-ins ranging from $0.50 or 50 Full Tilt Points for those already regularly braving the Full Tilt tables.
Although there is plenty over which poker aficionados can whet their whistle, the series highlights are undoubtedly the Main Event, with a $70 + $5 buy-in and $1million in guaranteed prize money; the Two-Day Event, with a $200 + $16 buy-in and $600,000 prize fund; and the $350,000 guaranteed NLH Rush Rebuy, with the buy-in set at a tempting $20 + $2.
However, in true Full Tilt style the tournament is all about prestige. A place on the final table will not only land players their shot at one of the guaranteed prize funds, but also a limited edition MiniFTOPS jacket, with the winners of each of the thirty-four tournaments going one better and receiving an extra silver jersey.
Not only this, but finishing top on the overall leader-board will land the lucky winner entry to every FTOPS XVIII, worth around $10,000 in tournament entries.
The Two-Day Event begins on Saturday, September 18th at 18:00 GMT, and has already been attracting comments from both Full Tilt regulars and newbies.
Featuring a $200 + $16 buy-in and $600K in guaranteed prize money, the MiniFTOPS Two-Day Event begins on Saturday, September 18th at 13:00 ET (18:00 GMT).
The end of day one comes at the conclusion of level 17; if the money has not been reached by the end of level 17, play will continue until the money bubble has burst. Day two begins the next day at 13:00 ET (18:00 GMT). This tournament features 30 minute blind levels, and players begin with 5,000 starting chips.
