The bill aims to carve out skill games such as poker, chess, and bridge from the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) passed by Congress at the end of last year.

Wexler’s bill is set to be unveiled a day before a hearing in the House Financial Services Committee on the subject of the online gambling ban, held on the behest of Rep. Barney Frank, another critic of the online gambling ban.
