The seaside town, with a population of just 90,000, is about to see its third casino after the council’s development committee voted unanimously in favour of the proposal.

The casino, to be run by Palatial Leisure, will become part of the Palace Bingo Club, owned by the same company. The company plans to spend £2 million converting part of the Bingo Club.
