Councils plan to twist UK government’s arm over ‘super-casino’ restrictions

Spurred on by recent revelations that Blackpool is the favourite to win the government’s approval, eleven local authorities have joined forces and are asking MP’s to reconsider the bill.
The councils are: Birmingham, Cardiff, Coventry, Glasgow, Sheffield, Southampton, Sunderland, Trafford (Manchester), Southend and Havering (Essex) and Yarmouth.
