Bet365.com, a popular UK based online casino and sportsbetting site has recently announced that 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion Jesper Hougaard has joined the site as a spokesperson and ambassador

The deal ensures the 24-year old bracelet winner participates in bounty tournaments every two weeks along with other activities hosted by Bet365.com. Hougaard will be the face of the site competing against the best poker players in the world in land based casino events, as well as joining the European Poker Tour.

Hougaard, a retired professional table tennis player and former coach of the Danish National Table Tennis Team, noted he was inspired by fellow countryman and poker pro Gus Hansen. He won the WSOP bracelet, along with $610,000 after entering the $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold?em event in Las Vegas earlier this summer. 

Bet365.com will launch a blog detailing Hougaard?s experiences in poker, while the site will also serve as a tips and strategy tool for poker players.
