BetOnSports makes deal with U.S government
In exchange for the US government dropping the civil suit against BetOnSports the UK company has agreed to cease all US gambling operations. They have also agreed to return all money held in American accounts and provide total co-operation with the US government’s wider investigation into illegal internet gambling.
Before the arrest of David Carruthers BetOnSports was one of the world’s foremost internet gambling companies, taking in over $1 billion from the US alone.
Despite the end of the civil action BetOnSports are still not completely off the hook, as there is still a criminal case pending against the company.
