BetOnSports directors are held in contempt of court
Judge Carol Jackson found the company in contempt of court after the US lawyer representing BetOnSports was unable to persuade the directors to make an appearance in her court last Friday. Prosecutors asked her to impose daily funds on the company until a representative came forth.
According to Judge Jackson Jeffrey Demerath, the council for BetOnSports, called the Judge’s chambers and told her he had been “instructed by his clients not to appear”.
So far there has been no comment from the company regarding their actions.
