Anderson remains an independent director at 888, and it is no yet clear whether or not he will be facing criminal charges, with 888 issuing a statement saying it was too early to tell what line the questioning would be taking.

888 added that Anderson would be co-operating fully with the French investigation, which may well focus on the former sponsorship deal between Toulouse football club and 888. The legality of online gambling in France is still unclear.
