Nino CeFalu, 25, was speeding a weekend away with his girlfriend when the unthinkable happened.

Playing on a one dollar progressive Wheel of Fortune MegaJackpot slot machine on Monday morning CeFalu realised he had won something, but he wasn’t sure what: “It wasn’t until the slot host saw the win and told me I had won the big one that I believed it,” he said.

CeFalu said he visited the Eldorado hotel and casino in Reno four or five times a year, and had done so for the last three years.

He plans to use the money to buy a house and a car.
