Let It Ride Poker - Rules
Some casinos also offer an optional ‘bonus’ or ‘side’ bet of $1. This pays out if the player’s first three cards contain a winning hand (a pair of tens or better). However, with a house of roughly 13% this is one of the worst bets a player can make.
When all bets are placed each player is dealt three cards face down, while the dealer receives two cards, also face down. Players are not allowed to reveal their three cards to anyone else during the course of the hand.
After looking at his cards each player may now withdraw his first bet (1), or leave it to stand (known as ‘letting it ride’).
The dealer now turns over one of his cards, which is a community card for all players in the game. Depending on how this card has helped their hand players may now choose to pull back their second bet, or let it ride.
When all players have acted the dealer then exposes his second community card and then, in a clockwise motion, reveals the three cards of each player. Players are then paid out according to the value of their hand.
Usually payouts are as follows:
Royal flush: 1000 to 1
Straight flush: 200 to 1
Four of a kind: 50 to 1
Full house: 11 to 1
Flush: 8 to 1
Straight: 5 to 1
Three of a kind: 3 to 1
Two pair: 2 to 1
Pair (tens or better): 1 to 1
