Sic Bo, a game with origins in ancient China, is a game of chance played with three dice. It shares many similarities with both Craps and Roulette, and is a very easy game to play.

The name Sic Bo means “Dice Pair” and the object of the game is simply to choose which numbers will be shown when the dice have been rolled.

Punters may choose to bet in a variety of different ways, either by combining the three dice or by choosing individual numbers. Odds and a more thorough description of the game play will be examined later.

Sic Bo is also known as Tai Sai (Dice Bowl), and Dai Siu (Lucky Dice) and has English variants such as Grand Hazard and Chuck-a-Luck.

It is a hugely popular game in Asia, particularly in Macau, but has been around in America since the early 20th Century when it was introduced by Chinese immigrants.
