Caesars reveals main casino supplier for NJ

Amaya Gaming is to provide a casino platform and games for the CaesarsCasino.com portal in New Jersey.

Montreal-headquartered Amaya, based in the same city as new online partner Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) acquired casino suppliers Chartwell in 2011, CryptoLogic in 2012 and poker network Ongame this year to form the backbone of its online B2B division.

Amaya CEO David Baazov called the new a deal “an immense win” for the company, and said it reflected the investments it had made in its platform and in preparing for the opportunities in the US.

CIE boss Mitch Garber confirmed his company planned to use the Amaya platform “to launch CaesarsCasino.com in New Jersey”, adding that it would also allow them to “integrate seamlessly” third-party content.

The US casino giant has opted for a new backbone supplier in New Jersey, despite already having worked with suppliers 888 and more recently Gamesys for its CaesarsCasino.co.uk website.

Caesars has now allocated three of the four online licences it is in line to receive by dint of operating a third of the 12 bricks’n’ mortar casinos in Atlantic City, the others being earmarked for WSOP.com and for 888′s own brands.

The New Jersey regulator has set a go-live date of 26 November, nine months after the enabling legislation was passed.
