LadyLuck’s mobile casino owner and Paddy Power supplier Probability has launched its new HTML5-based HD roulette for iOS and Android platforms.
The new app allows players to switch between European and American tables, as well as chip colour selection to align with the service offered in land-based casinos, where roulette players often use specific chip colours, on particular tables, on certain days of the week. The interface also offers a larger touch area allowing chips to be dragged around the table using one hand.
Probability chief operating officer Matt Sunderland said the game had been “a labour of love” for the company, which had studied the habits of millions of roulette players and undertaking painstaking research in bricks ‘n’ mortar casinos. “I think our game creates the closest experience possible to real casino roulette”, he said.
The table game launch follows that of its first HTML5-based HD slots for iOS in late June, following an investment of more than £1m in developing the new format.
The operator and B2B supplier will also upgrade the most popular games in its existing portfolio of content to the HD format during 2013, with all new slots and games launched with HD versions.
As well as being rolled out to players of Probability’s main B2C brands LadyLuck’s and Moobile, the new HD games will be made available to the operator’s network of white-label customers, which include Paddy Power, William Hill, 888 and Rank. Its Playyoo Italian subsidiary also provides mobile games to casino market leader Lottomatica’s Vegas Club in the dot.it market, as well as to SNAI and Cogetech’s Iziplay brand.
The Gibraltar-licensed mobile operator revealed last year that 80% of players recruited to its direct-to-consumer brands LadyLuck’s and Moobile were not existing online gambler. The company argued this created the space for its B2B business by reducing the risk of this cannibalising its B2C revenues, and also offered the prospect of a new audience for mobile gambling outside of the saturated and competitive UK online gambling space.
