Playtech’s iPoker network has announced a software update which will see several of its major licensees offer mobile poker via HTML and Native iOS platforms “within weeks”.
The software supplier said today that the new mobile clients would initially be rolled out to a few selected licensees on its dot.com and dot.fr networks.
Blue chip Playtech licensee Bet365 will be among the first batch of dot.com licensees to offer the new mobile poker platforms to players, Casino Choice understands.
Updates to the main client set for roll out across the network in the weeks ahead include a new 54-tier Elite VIP programme, aimed at increasing the life time and loyalty of players, who will for the first time be able to keep track of how they are doing via a new “progress bar” within the client.
Playtech said sites on the network will be able to have the new loyalty system customised to their individual needs, including the period over which players will be able to accumulate rewards, which can be set up to 12 months.
iPoker will also launch new Shootout and Heads Up tournament variants, configurable betting buttons and a Heads-Up rematch option.
The Playtech-owned poker network is currently the second largest site/network for cash poker traffic, according to PokerScout, edging ahead of Full Tilt and PartyPoker in recent months.
Playtech executives recently told analysts that the company had recently managed to stabilise the long-running decline in its poker revenues. They credited the liquidity programme implemented last September, which divided operators into two tiers based on a network scoring mechanism, and the addition of new licensees Betfair, Gala Coral, Betclic Everest and Unibet.
