888 has launched the first full casino suite for real-money on Facebook.
The MAGIC888 app is now offering Facebook punters in the UK aged over 18 the chance to play 888′s live dealer and casino table games such as roulette and blackjack for real-money, as well as a range of proprietary slots.
888 becomes the first operator to offer real-money blackjack and roulette on Facebook, and follows up the launch of its first real-money offering on the social network, BingoAppy, in December.
888 is one of just three operators approved by Facebook to offer real-money gambling games on the platform. Jackpotjoy operator went live with Bingo & Slots Friendy last August, while the first offering from the social gaming JV between Sportingbet and Mirrorball Slots owner Plumbee, Bonza Slots, also launched at the start of last month.
Gibraltar-licensed 888 today stressed that the real-money games on Facebook would be subject to stringent age verification checks.
COO Itai Frieberger called the launch “a significant extension” in the company’s real-money social offering.
None of the companies involved have yet disclosed any real detail of how real-money games on Facebook are performing relative to those delivered by traditional digital channels. This is likely to be more forthcoming from 888 and the future owners of Sportingbet, given their listed company status.
