Foxy partners with Super League

Foxy Bingo has signed a three-year deal to become the official bingo partner of Super League, Europe’s top rugby league club competition.

The partnership, which will kick of in earnest in February when the new season gets underway, includes traditional media such as in-stadium perimeter advertising, programme advertising and a presence in TV broadcasts as well as on the Super League website.

The deal with the 14-club Super League, 12 of which are from the North of England like the suave Foxy, will also include “an extensive programme of community-based activity” involving the iconic mascot himself.

Group director of bingo for Foxy owners bwin.party, Golan Shaked, said the online betting and gaming group was “excited” about the new alliance with rugby’s Super League, adding that Foxy’s “fun and thrill of winning” fitted perfectly with the sport of Rugby League.

The Super League’s commercial director James Mercer said it gave him “great pleasure” to welcome Foxy as an official partner, and said he looked forward to working closely with the company to develop a relationship that would enhance both their respective brands.

The Super League commented that the new partnership with Foxy was part of an unfolding sponsorship strategy that would see more official partners to SL announced during 2013.

Foxy, acquired by PartyGaming in 2009 prior to its merger with bwin, has been the sponsor of controversial tabloid talk show the Jeremy Kyle Show since 2008. Parent company bwin.party is also the shirt sponsor of Spanish football giants Real Madrid via its bwin brand, and also has a betting and gaming partnership with Manchester United.
