Isle of Man-based casino and software provider Microgaming, which provides the casino and slot games on websites such as Ladbrokes and 32Red, has provided a donation to local charity Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.
The foundation was set up in 2005 following the sudden death of 25-year-old Craig Lunt from a previously undiagnosed heart condition. The foundation aims to raise the funding needed for the heart screening of all men and women between 14 and 35 in order to prevent further deaths from Sudden Death Syndrome on the Isle of Man.
The chief executive of Microgaming, Roger Raatgever, seen on the left handing a cheque for £1,504 to Craig’s mother Paula, who set up the charity back in 2005 following the tragic death of her son, said:
“Our prize draw held at the annual staff party is hugely popular with staff, as it gives them the opportunity to raise money to benefit local charities. The Heartstrong Foundation is a very popular recipient.”
Paula Lunt, founder of Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation, said charities such as hers could not survive were it not for the generosity shown by companies such as Microgaming. “We are extremely grateful to Microgaming and their staff for their kind donation,” she added.
32Red is currently running an offer of £32 free for every £20 deposited. For more information, see our 32Red review page.
