Microgaming Wins Best Casino Software Award

Roger Raatgever - CEO of Microgaming

Microgaming has won the award for Best Casino Software at the Gambling Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards. Voted into the top spot by casino players themselves, the software provider has really turned heads over the last year with a host of new games, including 11 new slots released in January 2012 alone.

Pushing Playtech into second place at the software awards, Microgaming scooped this latest accolade on the back of a selection of innovative new games released over the last year. The industry has been impressed with the new ground the company has broken into, particularly with its innovative new slot titles.

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, said: “Microgaming prides itself on being an industry leader, and always striving to stay one step ahead in developing casino software, so we are extremely pleased to have won this award”.

Popular new titles released by Microgaming last month include Atomic 8s and Great Griffin slots. Atomic 8s features the innovative ‘power spins’ round, giving players wins in multiple directions on the slot reels, whereas Great Griffin gives players the chance to win a Pick Me bonus, giving them a payout of 150 times their bet.

Other highly successful games that have brought Microgaming to the attention of the industry over the last year include Break Da Bank Again Megaspin, Andre the Giant and the acclaimed dark, fantasy title Immortal Romance.

This is not the first time Microgaming has been crowned with a prestigious award. In recent years Microgaming has scooped Top Casino Software last year at the Gambling Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards, along with Best Software Provider at the Casino Meister Awards 2011.

Microgaming provides software to a number of leading online casinos, including 32Red Casino and Jackpot City. One of the newest casinos to be added to Microgaming’s flock is Casino La Vida, offering players over 430 games to the backdrop of a fun beach theme. The success of the company in recent times is sure to attract even more new casinos to use its award-winning software.
