Ladbrokes Set to Launch New Sportsbook

Richard Glynn - Ladbrokes CEO

Ladbrokes is preparing to launch a brand new sportsbook, which will provide players with a brand new sports betting experience with improved features and a stylish new design. The relaunch is a response to the disappointing end of year results the company released in its 2011 report.

Despite reporting a marginal increase in revenues during the first half of 2011, Ladbrokes experienced a decrease in revenues by some 4 per cent to £163.4m for the full year.

It is hoped the new site will bring back old customers and attract new ones to place bets with the company over its competitors.

Ladbrokes CEO, Richard Glynn said: “We have begun investing consistently in brand and digital marketing and we will continue this investment process in 2012 … We have a number of important milestones in the next few months.”

The new sportsbook is set to incorporate a revamped customer relationship management platform and will use software powered by Hybris. Customers will be able to see automatic market updates, make bets using one click technology, read product recommendations and make use of many more advanced features.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said of the new features: “This will give us a far more sophisticated website which is, most importantly, easier and more intuitive for our customers”

“It represents a significant evolution of our current offer, enabling more effective promotion of our increased range of products and a personalised online experience, as it learns from customer preferences and behaviour”.

Ladbrokes is set to launch a mobile betting platform later in the year, with updates also planned for Ladbrokes Casino in the second quarter.
